We traveled from Cherry Valley, New York to Wells, Maine. We crossed the Castleton-on-Hudson Bridge over the Hudson River. We are going through Massachusetts on our way, but we will actually visit MA in about 4 weeks.
It was a rainy day to pack up and drive in. But, the views were spectacular.
Interesting thing about the highways up here… They don’t really have rest stops like most states. You pull off into a gas station, fast food chain, gift shop, and bathroom area. It sure entices the kids to things they don’t need. They are convenient coming off of the highway, but overpriced fast food for bored kids is a bad combination. They are called Travel Plazas.
