We visited Arizona’s capitol building in Phoenix. Their original state building is now a museum. It was very informational. We had a great time with the scavenger hunt.
Arizona was the 48th state added to the Union. In school, kids learn about the 5 C’s of Arizona’s Economy (history): cattle, cotton, citrus, climate, and copper.

House of Representatives

They had an amazing train display that discussed major towns in Arizona and shared Arizona’s history. The man who was working on the train display gave us a tour and taught us quite a bit.

Interesting information: This part of Arizona only had DC current from the trolley. When the trolley didn’t run, the city didn’t have electric. So that people could work late of needed, the lights in the old state building had dual lighting. The lights that are facing upward half gas. The lights facing downward were run by the DC current while the trolley was running.
