St. Louis Zoo

Posted on 08/24/202308/25/2023

They offer a free park entrance but you have to pay for parking. We got half off of the adventure pass with our reciprocal program. The zoo was pretty slow since the local schools were back in session. I thought it was a good zoo… They had lots of good exhibits but some animals were not out.

They had an awesome swimming area for the elephants. It was fun to watch this small elephant frolic in the water.
They had a GREAT dinosaur area. Malachi would have stayed there the whole day. I did have to let the attendant know that we don’t agree with evolution because she kept discussing it with Malachi. But other than that, the attendants were amazing and worked hard at getting the kids to enjoy the area.
It was 40° in the penguin area. It was quite refreshing and then really cold.
