We had views of DC in many locations around the Cemetery. We saw the Changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. Caleb really enjoyed looking around and finding important people from history. It’s really hard to balance the desires of one child with another child. It’s definitely a balancing act. This was a great place to visit and thankful for all who served and gave their all.
It is crazy to think that this world… This country that I was born into… It isn’t that old. People are buried here who helped form, protect, and guide our nation. But, this country… And form of government..only formed about 250 years ago. And, to think, that the Civil War was less than 100 years after the start of the country. It’s mind boggling.
