Gettysburg was an amazing experience. It has been privatized and was a little disappointing as far as the visitor center goes. Instead of the normal provided video to explain the area and reason for the national park site, everything had to be paid for. There were a few items we could see in the visitor center. This park is a 24 mile auto tour with 15 spots.
The people of Pennsylvania erected this monument and included all names of every soldier from their state. We were able to walk the spiral staircase to a great view.
The Dwight Eisenhower Farm is also a part of the National Park service but it closed to visitors for the season.
