We really enjoyed our visit to the Capitol building and Jefferson City. It had a small town feel and parking was easy… It’s not like that in every capital city. Missouri State Parks provides an interactive museum inside the Capitol building. Also, the building itself is beautiful.
The back side of the Capitol building had a stairway that seemed to go nowhere. I’m thinking it used to be a glamorous entrance but it’s closed for now. The kids had fun “dropping off the edge of the wall”.
