The national park site has a connection with this museum. The visitor center was closed while we were there, but the museum enhances the visitor center.
I was excited about this because three kids and I read Moby Dick with our Classic Book Club a couple of years ago. Malachi loved the book. I was the leader for this particular book class and researched the whaling industry a little during that time. It was a great connection for us.
