We found a fun little spot where there is a chasm at the ocean. As we were walking up, Caleb started singing a song with the word [chasm] in it. The link is below.
The song got me thinking…and so we had a discussion over the chasm before leaving.
The definition of chasm: A deep, steep-sided opening in the earth’s surface; an abyss or gorge. A sudden interruption of continuity; a gap.
God’s Word tells us that sin has created a chasm between us and God. And just as this chasm has gotten wider with time, from the water flow… So does sin continue to separate us…farther and farther from God. Jesus bridges that gap. He is the only way to the Father.
