We visited the Capitol. We chose not to do a formal tour because the two younger ones are kind of over all of the capitol tours. 😂 However, our self guided tour ended up being almost two hours because the tour guide caught us and talked a long time about the building. It was very educational.
The statue of George Washington is an actual posed statue of him. It is true to life. He had a cast on to get all of his form and body. It was put in that building in 1799.
This is the second oldest Capitol building still in use. Thomas Jefferson designed it. They had quite a few construction jobs going on.
